What is Raw Dog Food / BARF?
Raw dog food is the feeding of fresh meat to dogs. The acronym BARF was coined over in Australia by Billanhurst. It stands for Bones and Raw Food (but was later tweaked to Biologically Appropriate Raw Food). They all mean the same thing and are based on the same basic principle that dogs are out and out carnivores.
